CASE STUDY CANOTECH

"Uncovering the evolution of Canotech Consultants logo redesign: a blend of history and modernity."

Aligning the new logo with company's evolution

The task was to redesign their logo, originally created in 1986, to align with the company's new direction and expanded services. While they wanted a modernized look, they also sought visual connections to the original design to have some connections visually to the original.

Streamlining shapes and styling

Deconstructing the logo revealed shapes and styling that could be incorporated into the new design. The original logo's block or cube shape, which awkwardly encased the letters "CCL," was modified to appear more clearly as an icon. The angles were adjusted to create a more dynamic feel. As the company no longer identified as consultants, one "C" and the "L" were removed from the logo. This resulted in a simple shape, along with the single letter "C," which was retained in the original font to pay homage to and maintain a visual link with the original design.

Simplicity in Design: the final logo selection

After exploring other design options, the initial design choice was ultimately approved. The logo has transformed into a significantly simpler, more memorable, and functional design.
